S. celebrated a great moment in the history of warfare; these are to date the only attacks with nuclear weapons. In both Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the overwhelming majority of the dead were civilians. No other nation at the time possessed nuclear weapons. Today there are nine or more nations which may or may not have nuclear weapons.
