Dr. John's first album can be categorized as psychedelic voodoo R&B and that's all the reason we need to design and print this shirt. The picture of Dr. John was borrowed from the back of the album altered and then mixed with chickenfoot batwings.
Madcap portrait painter, dialogue coach in the school of the absurd, and cardholding member of the French Mafia is how I would descride her. The collaboration with Alix came about through a common interest in music and record collecting.
This design is printed on American Apparel "the summer shirt" which is ultrathin, supersoft, 100% cotton. There are two versions of the design, the one here on this page and one that will be on Alix's website. Check out Alix's work here.
